MODAV -Turkish Accounting Academicians' Collaboration and Research Foundation is and independent body that is founded in 1995 by accounting academicians to support research and collaboration. 

The mission of the foundation is to provide a platform to discuss and possibly suggest solutions to outstanding issues in accounting practice and research in Turkey. Foundation has set forth in bylaws the following aims:

  • to contribute to the development of accounting science
  • to provide research and social support to aspiring accounting and finance academicians
  • to take initiative to improve the quality of accounting education in the Turkish university programs
  • to collaborate with Turkish chambers of accountants to help to improve accounting practice in Turkey
  • to establish close ties with international accounting bodies

Since 2004, MODAV organized conferences each year with a different topic. 

Since 1999, MODAV publishes a quarterly peer reviewed journal entitled Muhasebe Bilim Dunyasi  (The World of Accounting Science) that welcomes manuscripts in English and Turkish.
